NPC Bikini Competitor
ILL-EGO Culture Brands Sponsored Athlete (Metroflex/H&I)

I started my fitness journey on January 15th, 2014. I remember this exact day because I decided I needed a change and that was that. I was a senior at North Dakota State University and took things slowly by going to the gym 3 days per week and cutting out pop. Soon, three days turned to four, four turned to five and everything took off from there. I had no idea what I was doing. I researched pretty much nonstop, watched endless YouTube videos, a lot of trial and error, and picked numerous people’s brains.

About one year later, I wanted to step it up a bit, so I started to prep for a fitness photo shoot. This was way outside of my comfort zone, but I knew I was ready. I hired a coach who gave me a specific meal plan, workout routine and taught me all about supplements. I followed the plan religiously and ended up following through with my first shoot. This was where I knew I had found my “calling” and I loved every second of this. I learned so much about the human body throughout this process and it was absolutely fascinating to me. In January 2016, I joined MetroFlex Gym in Fargo, North Dakota and this is truly where everything changed.

I learned about NPC competitions and I was so intrigued. Being surrounded by so many individuals with such a strong will to reach their goal, I knew I needed to step on stage one day. I researched some more, picked more people’s brains than the first time around, and again, hired a coach in August 2016 to prep for my first NPC Bikini show. I stepped under the spotlight for the first time in March 2017 at the Upper Midwest in Fargo, North Dakota where I placed 2nd in Novice and 3rd in Open

A month later, April 2017, I competed in the Gopher State Classic in Minneapolis,
Minnesota placing 5th in Open.

This was the hardest, most rewarding experience of my life. I found my passion. I then took a full year offseason to improve where needed and started prep up again on January 1st, 2018. I competed in two more NPC Bikini competitions in June located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin placing 3rd in both shows.

After these shows, my husband and I decided it was time to start a family and we are now expecting our first little one July 2019! I am maintaining my healthy lifestyle and promoting the benefits of working out and a healthy diet during pregnancy. After our bundle of joy arrives, I plan to step on stage again one day, beating my last package, and maybe even look at the national stage. Time will tell.
